Why do my long run and day off change for the week I scheduled a race?
To optimize your training for an upcoming race, Virtual Trainer overrides your preferences for your long run and day off/flex day. We do this so that your body is prepared to perform at its maximal capacity for your scheduled race. You will notice that your long run for the week was scheduled earlier, and depending on the distance of your race, the mileage may have been altered. Your workout for the week may also be adjusted based on your race distance. All of these changes take place automatically when you schedule a race so that you don't have to guess how to do it.
