NYRR is proud to provide pacers for each of its half- and full marathons through our Pace Team Program. This is an added benefit for runners, free of cost, to help them reach their time goals.
NYRR Pace Team members are veteran runners who know the course. They have the experience to help you finish your race at your goal pace, whether you’re running your first race or trying to set a new personal record.
Pace Team members will wear distinct blue and white striped singlets and will carry signs with their pace per mile on one side and goal finish time on the other. To run with a specific Pace Team, you may move back (not forward), in the corrals, or start with wave 2 instead of wave 1. If you wish to run faster, we advise you to start in your assigned corral and plan to gradually catch up to the desired Pace Team after the start of the race.
